Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1- Transfer to Sipi falls

After an early morning rise and breakfast, you will have your first visit to the adrenaline city of East Africa (Jinja) located on the shores of Lake Victoria in the Eastern region.

While here, you will have a launch cruise to the source of the Nile River where the Nile begins its 600 km journey to the Mediterranean Sea.

After the launch cruise, you will have a lunch break at sailing club hotel before you proceed to the foothills of Mountain Elgon National Park. This hilly landscape has an amazing series of waterfalls and a network of walking trails to different Villages and coffee gardens.

DAY 2- Hiking Sipi falls

After an early morning rise and breakfast, you will be led by a local guide on a 3 hours hike through the foothills of Mount Elgon to visit Sipi falls.

While at the top of the falls, you will have an option of abseiling about 100 meters high from the top, hanging on a rope in the cool mist of the cascading falls right beside you.

After the hike, you will head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

DAY 3-Transfer to kidepo Valley National park

After an early morning rise and breakfast, you will embark on a 5hours drive to visit the traditional karamajong Manyattas, The word Manyattas simply means villages made up of several huts surrounded by a fence made of branches and thorns for sheltering the cattle from rival tribes and wild animals giving you an interesting insight into the customs and traditions of the karamajongs.

After this amazing experience, you will then proceed further in the rugged semi-arid valleys in the extreme Northeast of Uganda hidden away in a corner bordering South Sudan and Kenya. On arrival to Kidepo Valley National park, you will have time to go on an afternoon game drive where you will be able to sight herds of buffalos, and elephants, Antelopes, Lions if lucky and leopards in various rocks with-in the park.

DAY 4- Game drives in the valleys.

After an early rise and breakfast, you will head out for a game drive into the open Savannah grasslands where you will be able to sight African Lions that may be sitting in the Narus valley or on the rocks at the entrance of Apoka park headquarters, African elephants, Leopard, Bush bucks, Giraffes, African Buffaloes, zebras and much more. You shall also have an ostrich drive near Kidepo River.

; In the Evening you will head out for an evening game drive at the lions rock and a sunset picture moment out of the vehicle in the middle of the park.

DAY 5 – Transfer to Murchison falls national park

After an early morning rise and breakfast, look out for more animals such as the antelopes (impalas and zebras in particular) and herds of buffalos as you drive out of the park.

You will have a stopover for a lunch break in Gulu town.

Proceed to Uganda’s oldest conservation area “Murchison Falls National Park”. With ever-changing landscapes, busy roadside markets and quiet rural villages. The park is Uganda’s best-known and biggest nature reserve. Its most memorable feature is the Victoria Nile which cuts through the park, running along a series of rapids before shooting out of a narrow crack in a powerful waterfall. A boat launch will offer you a closer look at the majestic falls providing opportunity to see some wildlife with in the park.

DAY 6-GAME DRIVE AND LAUNCH CRUISE

After Breakfast, You will be transferred to the heart of Murchison falls national park for an early morning game drive where your guide will help you spot the abundance of wildlife found in the park such as African elephants, Lions, Buffalos, different antelope species such as the Ugandan Cob, Waterbuck, Jackson’s Hartebeest among others, warthogs, leopard if lucky, among others.

After the morning game drive, you will then drive back to the lodge for lunch before you head out for a boat launch at 12:00pm which usually takes about 3hours up stream on the calm Victoria Nile and to the base of the falls just 10 meters from the Devil’s cauldron. While launching, expect to see quite a number of Nile crocodiles, Hippos, unique bird species such as kingfisher, and other animals on the shores.

DAY 7-Transfer to Kibale forest national park

After an early morning rise and breakfast at the hotel, Drive to Kibale forest national park which is incredibly scenic giving you a view of lively villages, tea plantations, 13 primates including our close relatives the chimpanzees, over 375 bird species, 70 species of mammals and the Bigodi wetland walk.

DAY 8: Chimp Trekking and Bigodi wetland walk

After your early breakfast, you will drive to the information Centre for briefing with other guests about the Do’s and DON’T’s while trekking the chimpanzees. This activity will take about 6 hours based on the location of the chimpanzees. While trekking the chimps, you will be able to see a number of birds, monkeys such as the rare red colobus monkeys and the grey cheeked mangabeys among others.

You will then return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will drive to Bigodi wetland for the walk where you will be able to see a number of primates, bush pigs, butterflies and meet a few village people and school children.

DAY 9-Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park

After an early rise and breakfast, Drive out of the park and Embark on a journey to Bwindi where half of the world’s population of gorillas live under the mist-covered canopies of Uganda’s oldest and diverse rainforest.

You will be checked in at the lodge where you will have lunch and later in the do the famous Batwa trail community walk.

DAY 10: Gorilla tracking

After an early rise and breakfast, you will have packed snacks for lunch for its going to be a long fun day.

Drive to the park headquarters for briefing with the rest of the team, then set of for the main activity of the day, which will last for about 7hours depending on the location of the mountain gorilla family on that particular day. Hence when you find the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend time with them and take as many pictures as you wish before you return to the headquarters for a certificate of completion reward.

You will then return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

DAY-11 : Transfer to Kampala Or Entebbe International Airport

Arise and enjoy the delicious special breakfast before we set off for Kampala or Entebbe international airport.
