Introduction

While on this 6 days trip, you will be able to visit Queen Elizabeth National park a home to tree climbing lions and a wide range of other wildlife such as, buffaloes, African Elephants, Antelopes among others, the intimate sights of the chimpanzees in Kibale forest national park and the mountain gorillas encounter along the canopy covered trails of Bwindi Impenetrable forest.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1- Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After an early morning rise & breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a 5hours drive to Kibale forest national park, about 795km west of Uganda from Kampala. The forest is incredibly scenic giving you a view of lively villages, tea plantations, 13 primates including our close relatives the chimpanzees, over 375 bird species, 70 species of mammals and the Bigodi wetland walk.

DAY 2: Chimp Trekking and Bigodi wetland walk

After your early breakfast, you will drive to the information Centre for briefing with other guests about the Do’s and DON’T’s while trekking the chimpanzees. This activity will take about 6 hours based on the location of the chimpanzees. While trekking the chimps, you will be able to see a number of birds, monkeys such as the rare red colobus monkeys and the grey cheeked mangabeys among others.

You will then return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will drive to Bigodi wetland for the walk where you will be able to see a number of primates, bush pigs, butterflies and meet a few village people and school children.

DAY 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early rise and breakfast, Embark on a 2-3hours drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. On arrival at Queen, you will drive to the lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon, head out for a boat cruise on the kazinga channel where you will be able to see different bird species such as the king fisher, African elephants and Nile crocodiles on the shores, Hippos, Buffaloes, Antelopes, among others.

After the boat cruise, you will drive back to the lodge for a nap and if still okay and energetic, you will have an evening game drive.

DAY 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early morning rise, you will have a morning game drive where you will be able to sight African elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, lions, water bucks, warthogs in addition to several birds. Return to the lodge for a bush breakfast experience.

You will then embark on a 5-6 hours’ drive passing through ishasha sector to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.

You will be checked in at the lodge where you will have lunch and later in the afternoon do the famous Batwa forest experience.

DAY 5: Gorilla tracking

After your early breakfast, you will have packed snacks for lunch for its going to be a long fun day.

Drive to the park headquarters for briefing with the rest of the team, then set of for the main activity of the day, which will last for about 7hours depending on the location of the mountain gorilla family on that particular day. Hence when you find the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend time with them and take as many pictures as you wish before you return to the headquarters for a certificate of completion reward

You will then return to the lodge for late lunch and relaxation.
