Chimpanzees are among the most intelligent primates on earth. 

They share 98.8% of human DNA, making them extremely similar to humans in structure, intelligence, communication, social behavior, diet, body build, and survival instincts. 

They are also listed among the endangered primate species;

With all the similarities between humans and chimps, there is yet another powerful way to understand how close chimpanzees are to humans.

This is through what the world has called the chimpanzee “civil war

The largest chimp community, Ngogo had about 200 individuals living together peacefully for over 20 years. But over time, changes began to appear.

As we speak, about 24 individuals have been lost, including 17 infants and 7 males. This reflects early human-like conflict patterns, especially linked to territory. 

The very first observed fight, recorded to happen once every 500 years. This is history!
